Our programs introduce participants to the basics of the science, ecology, economics, and issues impacting the water quality, health, and well-being of their lake and their community.

Our signature program consists of experiential environmental education conducted on our "mobile floating classroom", a custom outfitted 30' pontoon boat with an impressive array of lake science technology equipment. This program is designed to engage students of all ages in hands-on field-based learning, and enables us to reach across Maine.

MLCI's programs have received regional, national, and international attention. Our awards include:

2001: Outstanding Contributor Award from Project WET USA for "Outstanding contribution in the area of water resource education…"
